Typical Swiss Restaurants |
|
The Lake Murten region is located on the language border in western Switzerland. Travelers in Switzerland not only discover the typical regional architecture, but also the special regional gastronomy culture.
The rich soil provides for an extraordinary variety in farming within a very small area. Regional products are plentiful on the serving platter: be it fresh fish from the lake or just harvested vegetables from the Great Marshland area, fine cheeses or creatively presented desserts, along with abundant ripe “Seeland” fruit to round off the meal.
Many Lake Murten restaurant names are fine examples of how the French and German cultures intertwine. Perhaps one day you’ll visit the “Bears” restaurant, or go for a treat in the “Pike” restaurant, or another time you’ll have a coffee at the “Swiss” restaurant and in the evening linger at the “Port” restaurant. However, all these restaurants do have something in common: coziness and excellent personal service! So, enjoy your meal!
